At the beginning, Numero was just an idea learning how to walk.
A wandering winery. A nomadic vision.
Born out of instinct, grown barefoot among the vines,
pushed by the wind and a wild desire to explore.
A wine that tastes like off-key ballads—like Bob Dylan’s:
raw, real, alive.
He, a visionary architect from Valtellina,
already founder of Dislivelli in 2020.
She, a rebellious-hearted sommelier,
who arrived in Valtellina behind the wheel of a ’90s Mini Cooper,
searching for stories inside a glass of alpine nebbiolo.
Their names?
Gian Piero & Maria Elena.
They met in the summer of 2022.
An unexpected detour.
A stop in Bevagna, Umbria.
A forgotten vineyard found them—
before they ever found it.
A month later, they were already in love.
That’s how Numero was born:
a nomadic winery writing the unwritten history of wild natural wine.
Freestyle life. No script. Just intuition.
2022 — BRAND BORN OUT OF A BEAT
Wine as art.
The journey as breath.
Love as fuel.
Numero didn’t follow a plan.
It followed a heartbeat.
Maria Elena and Gian Piero blended their passions:
wine, art, movement.
What emerged was something personal, bold, beautifully untamed.
But it still needed a face. A symbol.
Then came the lightning bolt:
a 1969 drawing by Gianni Secomandi, artist from the historic Galleria Numero,
founded by Fiamma Vigo in the 1950s.
That’s where the name comes from: "Numero".
The original. The one and only. The unrepeatable.
The labels?
Inspired by the poetic, untamed lines of Kengiro Azuma,
another free spirit from ’69.
2022–2024 — THE SPIRIT OF THE TIMES
Nature.
Passion.
Harmony.
And a healthy dose of anarchy.
Maria Elena and Gian Piero don’t follow trends—
they carve new paths.
For them, natural wine isn’t a fashion.
